Verify Ping Serial Number Online

I need these checked: G15 20 & 23. hybrid with a graphite TFC149H stiff flex shaft ID8 grip serial no. If they can't be verified what is. Can anybody tell me how you can check a serial number on a ping driver to make sure it is genuine? I am debating buying a K15 and have been given the number but before I pay just thought I'd check here first if anyone could help so I don't buy a fake thanks Gary. Pokerjoke is online now.
So I bought a Ping G30 driver off a reputable ebay seller, with 100% positive feedback, in the PGA trade in network and zero mentions of fake clubs in the thousands of purchases in the last 12 months.
However, I tested the G30 in my fitting, and when I hit it, it made a 'cracking' noise instead of a metallic ping noise. I just got my driver from ebay today and when I went to the range to hit it, it didn't really feel the same at all. It made a metallic pinging noise instead of more of a wooden crack like in my fitting.
Is it possible it's a fake? The only differences I can think of is that the fitting was indoors using real balls (not range balls) and the shaft was much higher end.
I still have 10 days to return the driver so I'm wondering what to do here.
Help?
